Come and Explore Hitchin’s Best Kept Secret:
Open Day – Sunday 29 July, 10am-5pm (free entry)
Come and explore our four acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and enjoy a day out with the whole family. We will have a variety of live music throughout the day and various stalls around the site. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about our bee hives and tours of our historic buildings. Staff will be on-hand to answer any questions; whether it be about our music courses, concerts, instrument loan scheme or our bed and breakfast.
As part of our Outreach and Engagement initiative, we will be offering an interactive narration by author and illustrator Jessica Courtney-Tickle at the Open Day, which will suitable for families and grandchildren. Featuring live music from the original score of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, you will also have the chance to work with Jess on a short craft activity and a musical project with one of the musicians from the ensemble, which will include the exciting recorder player Miriam Nerval. This fascinating event is aimed at bringing classical music to life and is suitable for children over 4 years old.
