Our first outing at the NYO’s Blaze of Youth

Black Dress Code had its first outing last week with the National Youth Orchestra’s Spring tour Blaze of Youth. The NYO, described as “the world’s greatest orchestra of teenagers”, was conducted by Kristjan Järvi and performed Fire and Blood, a concerto by Michael Daugherty, and Stravinsky’s masterpiece The Firebird.

Here is bassoonist Julia Flint wearing our Kathleen dress at their concert on Friday night at the Royal Festival Hall. This dress will suit all body shapes and works for all instruments, including ungainly ones like the bassoon and bass clarinet!

Where will our next outing be? It would be wonderful to see pictures of you in our clothes at your concerts.
